Richard Ryder
Richard is a voice and accent coach and has worked in both, the creative and corporate industries for more than 25 years. Richard specialises in presentation skills; personal impact; confident and effective communication skills; leadership skills; body language and voice and speech coaching.
Drawing on previous work as an actor, NLP accreditation and more than 10,000 hours of voice coaching, Richard aims to inspire, empower and encourage personal and professional development.
Corporate clients have included: Adidas, Amadeus, Clarient, C.F.A., D.O.E., Dialog Semiconductor, Johnson & Johnson, Merz, Michael Kors, Oxentia, Perrigo, PwC, Qualtrics, Rolls Royce, Stella McCartney, Sunlife International, Swiss-re, and UCL.
He graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2003 with a MA in Voice Studies. His voice coaching skills were honed at the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre in London and has developed an accent app called ‘The Accent Kit’, and a website with the same name, that accompanies the app.
Recent creative projects as voice and accent support include: Abigail’s Party Stratford Theatre Royal, London 2024; Dear England at the National Theatre and West End 2023& 2025; The Devil Wears Prada Plymouth and West End Autumn 2024; Coriolanus at the National Theatre 2024; The Choral, a film directed by Nicholas Hytner, 2024; Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London’s West End; and Street Scene by Kurt Weill at the Teatro Real in Madrid and Cologne.
