Tom Wakeley
Tom has been called “The Singing Whisperer’ due to his uncanny ability to let people sing. Even the most reicent of delegates have found themselves joining in with Tom’s sessions and experiencing new ways of communicating and using their voices. In 2008 he started the very successful One Voice corporate programme for RADA Business.
Since 1990 Tom has been Vocal Coach at RADA, working in conjunction with the singing teachers there.
Tom has worked extensively in London’s West End. His many credits include Children's Musical Director/3rd Conductor for Cameron Mackintosh on Oliver! at the London Palladium, and 14 years as Assistant Conductor on the musical Chicago.
After retiring from West End work, Tom has formed many cabaret duets with singers.
In November 2010 he was invited to Moscow to give two public masterclasses at an International Conference on Music Theatre. He has taught on music theatre courses in Manila in the Philippines and in Dubai and last year ran a very successful Vocal Camp in southern Spain.
In August 2017 Tom produced the musical cabaret revue In Gay Company by Fred Silver at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London and this year he has written (with Tim Binding and Stephen Wyatt) and workshopped the new musical ‘Cautionary Tales’
