Leandra Ashton
Leandra's belief in the vast potential we have as individuals and as a collective is at the heart of everything she does. She believes in the powers of ‘being’, creativity and communication to release unconscious brakes that prevent our potential from flowing. Her approach is always practical: encouraging people to experience for themselves different states of being, so that they can decide for themselves the story of their lives.
Her fascination with language, stories and performance has led her to specialise in guiding people to explore the stories we unconsciously tell ourselves and the world through our body, breath and voice. She encourages a playful yet profound approach, aiming to help those she works with feel empowered, authentic and free.
Leandra uses her creative experiences to design and deliver transformative experiences. Over the past 20 years she has worked as an actress, writer, director and workshop practitioner. Her practical, engaging approach has led her to work with people from every walk of life, including government leaders, students, refugees, entrepreneurs, nurses and board executives. Her clients for RADA Business include: Sweaty Betty, Dentsu Aegis, Stella McCartney, PA Consulting, Dove, The Foreign Office, Innocent Smoothies, HMRC, The Florence Nightingale Foundation and Future Talent Learning.
Leandra trained at RADA after reading Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge University.
She has acted with the National Theatre, Sheffield Crucible and Aquila New York, as well as playing guest leads for the BBC and ITV. She established Flying Cloud Theatre, producing new plays and extensive outreach work in association with Turtle Key Arts, West Yorkshire Playhouse and York Theatre Royal.
